LEPTOKARIA - GREEK NIGHT FROM A TOURIST'S POINT OF VIEW

,,Because melancoly got to me, today I thought to write about the traditional Greek Night in a traditional tavern in which I took part of when I was on my vacation in Leptokaria, Greece.

Greek Night is an optional leisure program. Tourists don't have to participate; only the ones that want to can participate, but it's a real waste not to go and miss such a memorable evening.

When we arrived at the tavern we discovered that non only we were not alone but also that the tavern was full. There were tourists from all over the world such as: russians, italians, japanese.

The tavern was large with a rustic sense, beautifully arranged.

Once inside, we were greeted with ouzo that was on the house. This was really nice as I like ouzo a lot. Then we were seated on the reserved seats for the romainians. We were lucky enough to get front row seats so we could see the show really close and it was great.

Greek music was beeing played when we arrived at the tavern and the show started as soon as the place was filled up.

Greek traditional dances from almost all areas of this country, beautiful costumes, talented young people, we felt very good, smiled, and hummed along with the wonderful songs they played live ... and believe me they had great voices.

There was also a lot of food, usually traditional Greek specialties, we tried each dish and each drink. We also drank ratsina, a traditional red wine that is very good.

The greeks danced sirtaki and zorba and then they came to our tables to to teach us their dances. We followed them to the stage where we danced and sang along with them. It was a superb and unforgetable night.

The greeks treated us very well. During their show they also sang one song for each nation that was in the tavern that night. It was also karaoke. Everybody was singing in their own language. This was really interesting.

In conclusion, if you ever go to Greece, try the Greek Night show. It is an unforgetable experience."
